Firm and Lawyers Deny Allegations in Barratry, FLSA Suits

A former law firm employee has filed two suits against her ex-employers: one in county court alleging civil barratry and another in federal court alleging failure to pay overtime — allegations the defendants deny. She brings causes of action for civil barratry, wrongful termination, "and malice and gross negligence as those terms are defined in Chapter 41 of the Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code."
